Plavinas St Peter's Lutheran Church

Raiņa iela 18, Pļaviņas, Aizkraukles novads, Latvija, LV-5120

Pļaviņas St Peter's Church is a parish church of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church Pļaviņas St Peter's. The church was built in 1911-12, at the initiative of Baron R. Nolde, the landlord of Stukmani Manor, and consecrated on 5 October 1912. During the First World War the church was destroyed. The church was temporarily used as a stable for horses. In 1920, the parish, under the leadership of M. Lapiņa, the head of the Ladies' Committee, started restoration works. On 31 October 1921 the restored church was consecrated.

It was built of dolomite stones, like many other buildings in Plavinas. The church tower, which has a pyramidal spire, is positioned asymmetrically on one side.
