Exhibition of cross-stitch paintings

From 10 February to 30 March, the exhibition hall of the Aizkraukle and Koknese Tourism Information Centre will host an exhibition of cross-stitch paintings by the Riga handicraft community "Iedvesma". 

The "Iedvesma" Handicraft Community was founded in 2009. The passion for embroidery unites ladies of different ages, the oldest of whom is already 92 years old. "In 15 years, Iedvesma has held more than 70 exhibitions in Riga and outside the capital - in Jurmala, Dundaga and other cities. The aim of the exhibitions is to show how much beauty can be created with simple cross stitch. One of the visitors, after visiting the exhibition, wrote in the feedback book: "When a woman embroiders, there is peace in the home. So, ladies, keep it up!"

The Community motto is "Embroidery is not just a hobby, it's a lifestyle!"
