Memorial plaque to General J. Balodis

On 17 June 1934, the inhabitants of Plaviņš unveiled a memorial plaque to General J. Balodis, the liberator of the people and the land from foreign powers, in front of the house where his headquarters was located, with the inscription "This house was the headquarters of the Eastern Front in 1919, and here General Jānis Balodis assumed command of the Latvian National Army".
