The Mailes Sports and Recreation Complex has prepared several cross-country skiing trails. While skiing, you can enjoy the nearby Veseta River. Ski rental is available, and accommodation is offered for longer winter fun.

The "Jankas - Jaujas" sports centre has more than 5 km of cross-country skiing trails. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays the slopes are illuminated (the lights are switched on and off by the skier, instruction is available at the sports centre). Use of the slopes is free for everyone.

In the Mežezers Sports and Recreation Complex you can choose from 8 different types of slopes! Also snowboarding! The smallest winter fun lovers can enjoy the chamber skiing track. There is an equipment rental and a café! For the hardier, there are chalets and comfortable rooms for overnight stays.
