Концерт "Pārnovadnieki"

The concert project "ParNovadnieki" 13 March at 16.00 at Aizkraukle Culture Centre

To celebrate 2015, a new vocal quartet from four regions of Latvia - Artis Šimpermanis from Kurzeme, Māris Sloka from Zemgale, Andris Baltacis from Latgale and Harijs Joniškāns from Vidzeme - performed on the Latvian TV programme "Once in Riga 2015" (). This performance was very well received, and every time the musicians met, they discussed: "We should do it again!"

Seven "magical" (thinking of the Seven Sleeping Brothers) years have passed and the quartet is ready to hit the roads of Latvia with a new line-up! Zemgale will be represented by Māris Sloka from the band "Klaidonis", Kurzeme by Artis Šimpermanis from "Rumba Kvartet", Latgale by Andris Baltacis from the band "Baltie Lāči", and "PārNovadnieki" will be joined by a new voice - Silvestrs Lorencs from the band "Zelta Kniede", who will represent Vidzeme. 

The acoustic concert project "PārNovadnieki" will feature well-known and popular songs from the soloists' repertoire, as well as unheard melodies in four voices. Let's ring in spring with songs, poetry and musicians' stories!
