
The film "Wild East. Where the Road Leads" at Aizkraukle Culture Centre 19 April 19.00
The film is set in the second half of the 19th century, when a bride-to-be disappears from the estate of a White German baron shortly before her wedding. Eva is an aristocratic young woman who has grown up under the tutelage of a White German baron. Shortly before her planned marriage to a peculiar Viennese count, Eva and her governess Magda decide to oppose the baron's plans and hatch an escape plan. But a Latvian peasant, Mikus, unexpectedly gets involved and is now suspected of kidnapping the young lady. The Baron's henchmen, the state criminal investigator, a Hungarian cowboy and other heroes set out to find the missing youth, as Eva turns out to be the heiress to a fortune.
