A glamorous 30s-style event inspired by the Latvian costume film Ceplis. This event will be the place to be in furs and pearls with elegant headdresses or hair bands from the 1930s.
It will be "happy jazz" - no worries, no fuss. Everything is kind of happy, like the 30s, 40s, 50s, without drama - that's what Laimis Rācenājs says about the programme.
Laimis Rācenājs, a cosmopolitan and a pathfinder, is one of Latvia's most unusual stage artists, who loves to play in a wide variety of genres and can sing anything. He has sung in 20 different languages and has been to more than 50 places around the world.
Laimi Rācenāja will be accompanied by virtuoso pianist Gints Žilinskis. Gints Žilinskis has been involved in music since birth, and began his active stage career as a teenager. His father is a classical pianist and his grandfather is the well-known composer and pianist Arvīds Žilinskis. Gints' son Matīss also continues the musical career of the family's pianist husbands, which has developed over several generations.
What to expect? Enjoy a romantic Saturday evening with snacks provided by the gourmet shop "Lion", featuring popular happy jazz tunes. The concert will take place at tables, photos from previous events. A separate table with refreshments will be set up for each reservation. Snack platter, glass of wine, tea and coffee included.
