Mamma Mia with cellist Erna Daugaviete at Koncerkupola

The lively music of ABBA, the glorious sights of Greece and the sparkling joie de vivre of Mamma Mia will create the atmosphere of the evening. Erna Daugaviete will improvise masterfully to ABBA hits, while we enjoy the hot Greek summer and live with the characters of the film.

What to expect? Enjoy a romantic Saturday evening in the dome.  The concert will take place at tables, photos from previous events. A separate table with snacks or popcorn only will be set up for each reservation. One glass of wine, tea and coffee included. You are not allowed to bring your own drinks or food. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know in advance. 

Why cello? The cello is considered one of the finest sounding instruments with its warm, lively tones and rich tonal range. Historically, the cello has been associated with orchestral and chamber music, but over the years it has made the transition to more modern genres including jazz, rock and pop. Solo cello playing is becoming increasingly popular thanks to both local and international virtuosos. Enjoy an evening of cello sounds in a dome right on the banks of the Daugava River, as the cello's versatile sound soars into the sky.
