Aivars Birzmalis, voice and guitar, evening at tables for life lovers

Let's enjoy another romantic evening before the dome closes for the winter season. Infrared heaters will be working and Aivars Birzmalis will warm hearts with romantic melodies.

Aivars Birzmalis sings and plays acoustic guitar and, as he says, he would not call himself a songwriter or a bard, I would prefer the title singer/ songwriter. That's what people in America call themselves in a particular genre of music, and often they don't have a musical background, they just get along and luckily people like it.

Aivars is also very influenced by country music in America, and his songs, like those of the popular band "Chicago Five", are light and melodic.

This programme will feature songs written by Aivars with poetry by Imants Ziedonis, Ārija Elksne, Anna Rancāne and Kristīne Kalniņa.

There will also be a bit of American country and world classics such as Elton John, Rod Stewart.

Aivars says all the songs will be melodic, melodies are very important to me so maybe I used to listen only to romantic musicians in the classical sense and the music I write is also romantic in a way, if only because there is only acoustic guitar and vocals.

What to expect? Enjoy a romantic Friday evening with snacks provided by the Lion gourmet shop.  The concert will take place at tables, photos from previous events. A separate table with refreshments will be set up for each reservation. Snack platter, glass of wine, tea and coffee included in the price.
