Askere (Spidala) Trail

The 400m long trail winds along both banks of the River Askere, connects Riga-Daugavpils highway with aizkraukles mound, which offers a picturesque view of Sēlija. The deep and rocky ravine of the river Askere is home to a rare animal species – the great susur, also called the sleep mouse. This is where the microloan of large susurs is located.
