Once upon a time, the sacred oak was in a beautiful place on the banks of the Daugava. Suffered several times during the world wars, struck by lightning, burned by people... The last green shoot dried up in 1994, so in order to preserve the oak trunk as a historical monument for future generations, it was arranged by walling out the burnt cavity, strengthening the base and roof sign. For security reasons, the trunk of the sacred oak was relocated and found its home in the territory of the Aizkraukle History and Art Museum "Kalna Ziedi".
