Biological Farm “Ragāres”

Ragāres, Skrīveru pagasts, Aizkraukles novads, Latvija, LV-5126

The garden is located in a picturesque place on the upper bank of the Daugava River, where more than 100 different plant species and varieties can be found in one place. Ornamental plants, herbs, medicinal plants, as well as traditional Latvian homestead plants grow here. A special place in the garden is reserved for the largest Northern Actinidia plantations in Latvia.

Visitors are offered the opportunity to get to know plants with all their senses – to look at them, touch them, smell them and even taste them, while learning more about their everyday use. It is also possible to gain valuable knowledge about farming using organic methods.

On site, you can taste ecological teas, berries and fruits, as well as purchase local products. For those interested, seedlings of various plants are also available – actinidia, lemon vines, large-fruited hazel, black elderberries, partridges and others.

The farm grows and processes medicinal plants, herbs, fruits, berries and vegetables, as well as collects maple and birch sap, from which syrups are made.

Tours are possible only with prior registration.
