Come and Party at Koknese city festival!

On 18 and 19 July, the Koknese Town Festival will take place with various events. As usual, concerts and festivities will take place in the medieval ruins of Koknese Castle, in the church, on the stage and elsewhere in the town. At the end of the festivities, everyone is welcome to a green ball with the band "DeLight" and DJ MadVip.

Festival programme
18 July

• At 22.00 in Koknese Castle Ruins - rock music show "Rock symphony" with drummers Ainis Zavacki, Edijs Šimiņš and guitarist Ēriks Upenieks, flamenco dancer Anna Keita Kreicšteina and singer Juris Vizbulis. The music will include classical rock, flamenco and Latvian composers. A spectacular light show will be provided by light master Egils Kupčs. 

Entrance fee: 15 to 20 euros. Tickets: at the Culture Centre box office and www.bilesuparadize.lv.

19 July

• At 10.00 at the Tourism Information Centre (7 1905.gada street) - a festive morning with the folklore group "Urgas", the men's ensemble "Kokneses zēni" and the Irši vocal ensemble "Melodija".
• At 11.00 in the hall of the Association Administration (1 Melioratoru street) - the event "Aizkraukle Municipality Baby".
• From 12.00 on the stage - inflatables and other attractions, outdoor cafes, shops.
• From 12.00-13.00 at the Lutheran Church - concert by the women's choir "Anima" and the senior choir "Alaine".
• At 13.00-14.00 at the Stage - "Dance with us" children's entertainment with the music project "PERFAM" and a robot show.
• At 15.00 - festive procession from Ilmāra Gaiša Koknese Secondary School to the Outdoor stage.
• At 16.00 - Concert of amateur art groups. Participants: the Koknese brass band, the chapel "Aizezeres muzikanti", the Koknese youth dance group, the dance groups "Liepavots", "Rats", "Irši", the line dancing group "Kristāliņi", "Crystal line", the 3rd-4th grade dance group "Koknesīši", the modern dance studio "Sanivi" group "Flame". 
•  At 18.00 - Concert by students of Ilmāra Gaiša Koknese Secondary School Music Studio. 
•  At 20.00 - Ainārs Ančevskis, Ieva Sutugova, Jānis Miltiņš in the concert programme "Veltījums" 
•  At 22.00 - Outdoor ball with the band "DeLight" and DJ MadVip.
