Painting “Midsummer Night”

Skrīveru kultūras centrs, Andreja Upīša iela 1, Skrīveri, Skrīveru pagasts, Aizkraukles novads, Latvija, LV-5125

The panorama “Midsummer Night” by the grand masters Laimdota Mūrniece and Uldis Zemzars was created in 1958 and consists of six parts – two 2.5 × 2 m and four 2.5 × 4 m compositions.

In 1961, when the building of the Latvian Agricultural Research Institute was opened in Skrīveri, the work was exhibited in the hall of the institute. Later, when the institute was moved to smaller premises, one part of the panorama was preserved at the institute, while the other five parts were donated to the Skrīveri Cultural Centre.

Today, this work of art can be viewed at the Skrīveri Cultural Centre - during its working hours.
