Moss trail

Skrīveru pagasts, Aizkraukles novads, Latvija, LV-5125

The approximately 800-meter-long Moss Trail leads through the forest near the Skrīveri Dendrological Park and is inspired by Andrejs Upītis’ work “The Boys of the Moss Village”. Walking along the trail, you can encounter various wooden figures of the inhabitants of the village, which give the walk a fabulous and exploratory atmosphere.

At the beginning of the trail is Lake Kalnamuiža, known in the writer’s work as the Round Lake. This place serves as the starting point for two approximately 800-meter-long trails – the Moss Trail and the Lucky Bear Trail, offering a pleasant and peaceful recreation in nature for both children and adults.
