A customer service pavilion opens at the Koknese Medieval Castle Ruins

Starting from April 23, a customer service pavilion has been opened at the Koknese Medieval Castle Ruins, marking the beginning of the active tourism season.

Until October, every day from 9:00 to 19:00, visitors will have access to a historical exhibition, a souvenir shop, free informational materials about the surrounding area, as well as the opportunity to mint a coin and enjoy a historical narrative with the help of an audio guide.

A coffee machine is available on the castle ruins grounds. Starting from May 1, outdoor catering “Ēdam gardi” will also be available on weekends, offering a variety of savory snacks and drinks.

As the weather gets warmer, boats “Vīgante” and “Sēlis” will operate on the Pērse and Daugava rivers from the castle ruins’ boat dock.
