Daudzevas black slip clay pottery kiln "Velniņš" offers mobile master classes for primary school and kindergarten children during the winter season! During the master class, children have the opportunity to learn about natural clay as a material and create their own clay pot. Working with clay under the guidance of the kiln owner, children exercise their finger and hand muscles, or fine motor skills (kneading, pinching, pressing), creativity and imagination (there is no one "right" solution when working with clay), sensory perception and tactile experience (cold, soft, can change shape), and possible emotional release (opportunity to express anger, tension, anxiety).
The owners of the kiln take the finished dishes to the "Velniņš" kiln to be fired and smoothed, giving them a black silvery tone, and arrange with the owners to return the dishes to the children. All necessary materials are included in the price of the master class! More information is available at:
