Enjoy the arrival of spring in the Koknese area!
Nature is awakening, and the Koknese region is a wonderful destination to soak up the sun and go on peaceful walks. Although it will take a little while longer before vibrant flowers bloom and buds burst on the branches, early spring is already delightful with its own beauty.
Koknese Park and Nature Trail
The park features a variety of wooden sculptures, among which the impressive 11-meter-high sculpture “For Eternity” by sculptor Ģirts Burvis stands out. Both local and exotic trees grow here, and in spring, visitors are greeted by colorful flowers. To commemorate a long-lost landscape, a replica of the Pērse waterfall has been created in one of the ponds, which can be viewed during the day as well as illuminated in the evening and at night. A nature trail stretches from the park to Likteņdārzs, passing along the Koknese medieval castle ruins, the Lutheran church, and other interesting sites.

Here, nature lovers are welcomed by an apple tree alley and a paved path leading to an amphitheater surrounded by oak trees. Visitors can explore the assembly house, see the Great Hill and the Heart Stone. From the viewing terrace, there is a magnificent view of the Daugava River, the Koknese castle ruins, and the church. Everyone is invited to walk the paths of Likteņdārzs, enjoying peace and closeness to nature, as well as to use picnic areas (with prior reservation) and the children’s playground.

Vecbebri Manor Park
The Vecbebri Manor building was constructed in the second half of the 19th century in the Classicism style. Although it was burned down in 1905, it was later restored under the guidance of architect V. Bokslaf. The park is a great place for quiet walks—the impressive building harmoniously complements the landscape.
