Plavinas Choir centenary stone

In 1988, the Plavinas Mixed Choir celebrated its centenary. A memorial stone was erected in the square in front of the Plavinas Culture House.Over the years, the Plavinas Mixed Choir has evolved into the women's choir "Loreleja". One of the most productive periods in the history of the Plavinas Choir was from 1970-1990, when conductor Ieva Lazdāne was working with the choir. The choir's repertoire included many different songs, successes in choir competitions and an active concert life.
