The newly established exhibition rooms are now open on the second floor of the Sērene Community Centre, within the local history section of the library. The new displays feature carefully arranged interiors reflecting their respective historical periods, complete with authentic objects, elements, and design: “Zāra’s Room,” representing the early 20th century (first half), and “A Collective Farm Family Apartment,” showcasing everyday household items from the second half of the 20th century through the 1990s. Visitors can also explore the “Musicians’ Room” and the installation “A Dream of an Exhibition Hall.”
These rooms preserve not only artefacts donated by local residents but also life stories, testimonies, and memories of times gone by, as well as the dedication, time, and support invested in creating these spaces.
Visits must be arranged in advance by phone.
