In autumn 2024, the multi-purpose sports ground of the Aizkraukle City Stadium will open in Aizkraukle, offering a wide range of opportunities for active recreation by the Daugava River itself. The multi-purpose sports field also has a self-service sports equipment station. The station now offers free rental of a beach volleyball, basketball and Petanque.

To reserve equipment, you must first download the Equip sport app and register.

After registering in the app, you need to select the Aizkraukle station as well as the specific equipment. Please note that the equipment can only be reserved when you are physically present at the station. However, it is possible to see remotely if the desired gear is rented and for how long. Also, if the selected gear is already in use by someone, the application does not allow the booking and the message “unavailable” appears.

If the selected sports equipment is available, it can be reserved for one hour. The equipment can only be checked out after booking it in the app. At the end of the reservation time, the used gear must be returned to the station or the time must be extended in the Equip sport app. It is also possible to return the equipment to the station before the end of the reserved time.

The self-service sports equipment station and the tools available in it are provided by the Aizkraukle Municipality Sports Centre. The station is planned to be maintained throughout the year, with the equipment available there being adapted as needed.

Aizkraukle is one of the first places in Latvia to use a self-service sports equipment station. Its aim is to promote easy access to sports equipment for everyone in an environmentally friendly and socially responsible way. Please be responsible, use the equipment for its intended purpose and return it to the self-service station on time!
