The Aizkraukle Museum of History and Art offers both excursions and special programmes for children of different ages:
Fabric Printing Workshop.
Printing of t-shirts, bags and other monochrome cotton products with Latvian ornamental patterns or lace patterns from the museum's collection.
"Latvian Ornament. I disassemble and reassemble the world"
Pupils explore Latvian ornament in various museum objects. They make their own ornaments out of chestnuts or beans.
"Circle of the Year"
Latvian seasonal customs with games and games - Candlemas Day, Midsummer, Easter, St. John, St. Michael's, St. Martin, Christmas with masks.
"How cream becomes butter"
A story about how to churn butter, about the tools used in dairy farming, with participants taking part in the churning. At the end, tasting the butter they have whipped themselves
