The Aizkraukle Museum of History and Art offers both excursions and special programmes for children of different ages:

Soviet-era games and games at the exhibition "Soviet Years"

Pupils will get acquainted with Soviet-era children's games - "classics", "bungee jumping", "ships", "higher than the ground", "stone, jump out", "silent telephones", "story on a page", etc.

"Life in the Soviet times - during the construction of the Plavinas HPP and the town of Stučka"

Documentary film and photo materials on the history of the Plavivka village in the 1920s. Documents and films from the 1960s-1970s. Soviet-era household objects in the exhibition "Soviet Years". Soviet-era press.

Programme "Political Information"

Pupils select their own material from the Soviet press (1950s-1980s) on social and political life in Soviet Latvia and report what they have read to the rest of the group. Discussion on current topics in Soviet times and today. (I have attached a photo of the cars and a group of children in the museum)
