Awaiting the Festive Season in Jaunjelgava Parish

On November 30, we will light the first candle on the Advent wreath. In Jaunjelgava, in the Old Town Park, we will also light the lights on the Christmas tree and will open the Christmas waiting time!

From 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Jaunjelgava Cultural Center will welcome visitors to a Christmas market featuring local crafts producers and tradesmens, where you can find delicious treats, useful household items, and festive gifts and take part in a gingerbread decorating masterclass!

Starting at 3 p.m., everyone will have the opportunity to participate in baking bread over an open fire in the Old Town Park! Anyone who wants to can make a delicious homemade bread snack, fill it with natural meadow flower honey or jam, and enjoy it in the fresh air!

To make the event even more interesting, we invite you to come in masks and take part in a mask competition! Effort and originality are always appreciated! Fun and musical surprises are also planned!

On December 7 at 3 p.m., on the second Sunday of Advent, everyone is welcome to attend the consecration ceremony of the tower of the Seces Evangelical Lutheran Church and the LA Vocal Studio Christmas concert "The Lord is here"!

This will be a significant event in the life of the church congregation and a heartfelt expression of gratitude not only to the church congregation, but also to sponsors and supporters for their joint achievements. The consecration of the tower will be led by Bishop Einārs Alpe and Pastor Edmunds Keidens.

The consecration ceremony will be followed by LA Vocal Studio's Christmas music concert "The Lord is Present". The concert will feature some of the most beautiful Christmas songs and melodious spiritual music that will fill the room and hearts with warmth and happiness and a joyful atmosphere. Entry free!
