Closure of the Customer Service Pavilion at Koknese Medieval Castle Ruins

Starting from October 31, the customer service pavilion at the Koknese Medieval Castle Ruins will be closed for the winter season. During the winter months, visitors are kindly asked to plan their visits accordingly, as on-site services such as ticket sales, souvenirs and information will not be available.

Although the pavilion will be closed, the castle ruins and surrounding park area remain open for walks and sightseeing at visitors’ own responsibility. We invite everyone to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the historic site and the scenic views of the Daugava River even during the colder season.

The pavilion is expected to reopen in the spring, when the new tourist season begins. Updates and detailed information will be published on the Koknese Tourism Information Centre website and social media channels.
