“Drunka” – a spirits brewery in Skrīveri

“Drunka” is a family business that produces wines and spirits, creating special flavors from the gifts of nature. The product creation cycle begins in the apple orchard and berry gardens – from apples, blackcurrants, raspberries, currants, quinces, mountain ash and rhubarb to finished drinks. Each berry gives the drinks its own color, character and flavor.

A distillate is obtained from apple wine, which, when matured in oak barrels, acquires a taste and aroma similar to Calvados. “Drunka” also offers various spirits with notes of raspberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries, currants, rhubarb, quince, mountain ash and cherries.

The company is located in a picturesque place in Skrīveri, by the Daugava River, in the historic Kalnakrog (currently Lāčplēša Pub) on the side of the Riga–Daugavpils highway. In the renovated and cozy tasting room, guests can enjoy the stories of drinks and the history of Kalnakrog, as well as watch the calm flow of the Daugava.

Visitors are offered a tasting, small snacks and a strong soup cooked on a campfire, as well as the opportunity to purchase drinks on site. During the tasting, you can taste up to 8 different strong drinks.

Tasting fee: 10 EUR (with soup – 15 EUR). Prior registration is required – the company works only by appointment.
