During the construction of the Pārceltuve – Skrīveri – Madliena road, several of its sections were straightened. The old road remained close to the Dīvaja River, while the new one was built over the hills, crossing residential plots. Behind the pharmacy, a steep ditch had to be filled in to create the new road route, which is now known as Daugavas Street.
The old parish road section from the Dīvaja bridge to the “Satekas” recreation area has also been preserved to this day. It is ideal for both bicycle rides and quiet walks on foot, enjoying the surrounding variety of plants and natural scenery.
