Old parish road

When the road Ferry pier – Skriveri – Madliena was constructed, some sections of the road were straightened. The old road remained close to the Divaja river, but the new one went over the mountains, through the backyard plots. Behind the pharmacy it was necessary to fill a well-steep ravine in order to form such a road, which is now Daugava Street. To this day, a piece of the old parish road in the section from the Dīvaja bridge to the resting place "Satekas" has been preserved. It can both be ridden by bike and walked watching the plants that surround the road.
