Lake Līdacis is small – just 11 hectares – but deep and rich in fish. Species found here include bream, perch, pike, tench, silver bream, roach and eel. On its shore stands the forest guesthouse “Līdaces.”
Latvia’s State Forests (Latvijas Valsts meži) have established two well-maintained swimming areas and one fishing/picnic spot by lake Līdacis. All three locations are equipped with shelters that include tables and benches, as well as picnic and campfire sites.
One of the swimming areas is easily accessible and located right by the roadside. The other is on the opposite side of the lake, reachable via a 600-meter walk through a beautiful forest. During the walk, you can enjoy lingonberries, blueberries and hilly woodland scenery.
