The 6th Selonia Tourism Market will take place on April 26th in Akniste

The active tourism season in Selonia will open in Aknīstė, where the Selonia Tourism Market will take place for the sixth time on April 26th. The event will offer an opportunity to get to know tourism service providers, home producers and craftsmen. Local groups will present a cultural programme and a community talk studio will be open.

The Tourism Market will take place from 11.00 in Aknīstė Market Square, which was opened in 2023 behind the Catholic Church. Participants from all over the historical land of Selonia will offer their goods and services, and the Aknīstė neighbourhood amateur groups will entertain with a cultural programme.

Home producers, farmers, craftsmen, food producers, as well as tourism service providers and communities wishing to promote their facility or community as a tourist destination are invited to apply for the market. The application form for traders is: ej.uz/selijastirgus6.

As usual, a live NGO and community talk studio, hosted by the community network "Selijas salas", will be broadcast live from the market venue. Also on this day, it will be possible to get to know the history of Aknīste on a free guided tour.

The day before the market, on 25 April from 10.00, the IV Selonia Tourism Conference will be broadcast live on the Selijas salas Facebook and YouTube accounts. The conference will provide an opportunity to find out what is happening in the field of tourism in the municipalities of Selija and to hear the experiences of tourism entrepreneurs.

The 6th Selonia Tourism Market is organised by the community network "Selijas salas", Aknīste City Administration in cooperation with Selonia tourism service providers, communities and with the financial support of the Society Integration Fund.
